Spider-Man: No Way Home – (9.5/10)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

One of the top movies, if not top movies of the year. Highly anticipated and well worth the wait. Incredible job from Tom Holland and Zendaya to put together two of the strongest performances of the year.

Nightmare Alley – 7.0/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Decent Film with above average acting. Bradley Cooper does a fine job, and the overall plot is exciting enough to keep you interested.

Dune – 9.4/10

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Truly a great film, perhaps my favorite of the year so far. Exciting for fans who may or may not be familiar with Dune. Looking forward to the next iteration

The King’s Man – 8.1/10

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Overall a good plot, and exciting all the way through the end. Director Matthew Vaughn does a good job of portraying the various characters in the film.

Don’t Look Up – 7.3/10

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Entertaining film with a cliché but exciting plot. The star power in this film is tremendous and puts this movie into a watchable category.

Free Guy – 8.2/10

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Ryan Reynolds has yet to disappoint me. Funny and exciting film. One of my favorite video game to life movies to date.

House of Gucci – 7.9/10

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Lady Gaga delivers again. Strong performance by her and the cast (Adam Driver especially). As someone not familiar with the Gucci family’s story, this made a fun interesting story/film to follow.

Eternals – 7.0/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

As an avid Marvel fan I was a bit disappointed with the eternals. I’ll always go to see a Marvel film but the characters were extremely lackluster and the plot was simply mediocre.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife – 6.7/10

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Ghostbusters movies haven’t been too hot as of late, and this one wasn’t much better. Decent enough film to go out and watch, however not noteworthy for the year.

The Matrix Resurrections – 6.1/10

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Fan of the matrix overall, and the first film was very good. However this film is disappointing and lacks a clear objective. Keanu Reaves is his usually great self, but the Matrix needs to end here.

No Time to Die – 7.5/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Classic James Bond film. James bond fights bad guys and gets women. Nothing particularly new here, but an enjoyable film to watch.

The Suicide Squad – 8.5/10

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

What a difference some actors and a few years can make. This iteration blows the previous suicide squad out of the water. Excited to see the peacemaker series.

Halloween Kills – 5.2/10

Rating: 1.5 out of 5.

Just end this series, it’s gone on long enough. You cant kill Michael.

Last night in Soho – 7.8/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Surprisingly good film. Very strange feel to it, but overall strong performance by Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie. Loved the eerie dark feeling throughout the film.

Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – 9.1/10

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

One of my favorite Marvel movies to date. Incredible story and exciting action throughout the film. Excited to see more of Shang Chi (Simu Liu).

Venom: Let There Be Carnage – 8.5/10

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Perhaps I’m a bit higher up on the Venom films than others, but I thought this movie was really well put together. Tom Hardy (Venom) and Woody Harrelson (Carnage) especially put on a show. Very good sequel to the original venom.

Red Notice – 8.2/10

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Gal Gadot, The Rock, and Ryan Reynolds; what a trio. Great film from start to finish, and extremely exciting ending. Love seeing the rock and ryan reynolds work together, truly a great duo.

Black Widow – 7.2/10

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Rather lack luster Marvel film. Plot and backstory of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) felt rather rushed and incomplete. This felt more of a Yelena film than a Black Widow film.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City – 6.1/10

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Well this movie was interesting to say the least. Was not a Resident Evil guy growing up, but the movie was at least borderline entertaining.

Malignant – 6.1/10

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Very odd and unsettling film. A neat story and plot idea but overall poorly executed.

Jungle Cruise – 8/10

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I’m a sucker for the rock, and he delivers another strong performance. Emily blunt has a strong performance as well, and the movie is entertaining throughout its entirety.

Godzilla vs Kong – 7.5/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

A classic fight for the ages. Big monkey vs alien lizard. We all know who should win the fight.

Copshop – 5.6/10

Rating: 1.5 out of 5.

Not one of my favorite Gerard Butler films. Disappointing film with lackluster plot. Very slow paced movie.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It – 7.8/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

One of the few horror film series worth watching. Demonic possession movies are my favorite and this doesn’t lack entertainment.

Candyman – 6.8/10

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

One of my most anticipated films of the year left me disappointed. Jordan Peele’s film have taken a hit after his blockbuster “Get Out” (one of my favorite films of all time). Great idea but poorly executed film.

Snake Eyes – 7.5/10

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Very interesting character development and plot. Henry Golding (Snake Eyes) has a strong performance in an overall mediocre but entertaining film.

The Forever Purge – 5.2/10

Rating: 1 out of 5.

The first few purges were exciting. Great idea for a film and it was highly entertaining. They need to stop making these films now.
